Producer Janet Yang has been officially named the new President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) by the organization’s Board of Governors. Yang is the first Asian person to become President of the Academy and only the fourth woman.
Yang is beginning her first term as president and her second term as a Governor-at-Large. The Board also voted on the officers, electing:

Kim Taylor-Coleman, Vice President (chair, Equity and Inclusion Committee)
Wynn P. Thomas, Vice President (chair, Education and Outreach Committee)
